Bowtie inlays are a great structural solution to repair cracks in panels or even chair seats or table tops. Some people even use them aesthetically. Our bowtie inlays are 3/4" thick and bandsawn to size.

We do not use router templates for bowties in our shop but scribe with a marking knife or razor blade and inlay by hand. Each bowtie is right off the saw and may need dressed up before final inlay.
