Building your own workbench is fulfilling. But lifting heavy glue-ups and feeding them through a small planer quickly takes the romance away.
Our workbench tops are 3" thick. They are cut to exact size and sanded to 180 grit in a wide belt sander for a dead flat top.
The top face and edges are free of large, defects and will vary in color from white sap wood to brown heartwood. The underside may have knots or voids that do not compromise the integrity of the top.
 
The end grain is sealed with a light coat of anchor seal, and they are packed in 1/4" cardboard with double-thickness edge protectors and heavy straps for shipping
 
If you are doing a leg vise we also have Hard maple leg vise chops which ship separately.
 
No shipping is charged at checkout, but it is invoiced separately once we print the label. The top ships UPS, and shipping will be $100  up to $165, depending on your location. The tops weigh between 130-150lbs
 
Pre-Orders
When these tops sell out, they automatically go to pre-order. We keep large volumes of the maple on hand and run tops in batches every 4-6 weeks. When your top is done, you will be contacted with your shipping invoice. 
 
Blemished Tops: These tops have minor imperfections on the top face, such as small knots or dented corners.
