Tulip Poplar is a fabulous seat material for Windsor and Welsh Stick chair seats. Lightweight, soft and strong it is often overlooked. A great choice for beginners and for a painted seat.
 
Our chair seat blanks are kiln-dried, flattened, and thicknessed to 1-3/4" thick. The 16"x20" blanks will vary from 14.5" to 16.5" wide which is a suitable range for any stick chair.
