Birdseye maple is an exceptional material. A figure appearing in hard maple, mostly in Maine and Upper Michigan, this material is prized for guitars and other specialty items. 
 
Premium
The premium grade has the best eyes and the most even eye distribution across the board's face. It is primarily all white but a few pieces may have dark heart wood if the figuring was exceptional. This stock is $18 a bdft
 
Moderate
This grade has plenty of figure, but the eye may be thinner in frequency or have patches in the face with no eyes. This is almost all white with an occasional piece of heartwood. This stock is $14 a bdft
 
Rustic
This grade has lots of heart wood and other board inperfections. most pieces will have great figure but it may be clumped or heavier on one end of the board that the other. This stock is $10 a bdft
 
Sizes:
We only ship 6' and shorter lengths. Please specify your preferred length in the order notes, and allow for trimming to your final dimension. If you have specific width needs please specify that as well. 4' lengths and shorter give the best shipping rate. the rough stock is 7'-10' lengths and 4"-10" widths.
 
SHIPPING:
Shipping is not charged on checkout but is invoiced separately after your order is packed and labeled. Shipping costs can be as much as $1.50 per pound of material depending on where its going. Most pine and medium soft woods average 3lbs per board foot. If your order is over 50' board feet we will reach out to discuss shipping freight on a pallet to your door. When Ordering The quantity is by the Board Foot. A bdft is 144 cubic inches so to calculate you would take the width x length x thickness divided by 144. For example, a 4/4 x6"x8' would be 1"x6"x96"/144=4bdft
